KAF Mourns the Loss of its Honorary Chair, the Emir of Kuwait Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmed Al-Jaber Al-Sabah

The Kuwait-America Foundation (KAF) is deeply saddened to announce the passing of the esteemed Emir of Kuwait, His Highness Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah. It is with the greatest of sorrow that we mourn the loss of this venerated man - the architect of modern Kuwait’s foreign policy, and the Kuwait-America Foundation’s Honorary Chairman.

A staunch champion of the Kuwait-America Foundation and its mission, we were beyond honored to have his strong leadership and unwavering support guiding us for three decades.

His Highness served the people of Kuwait with the utmost grace and dignity, devoting his life to global peace and regional stability. Ever the consummate diplomat, he was known as the “dean of Arab diplomacy,” building political and humanitarian bridges whenever possible. Recognized by the United Nations for his “exemplary humanitarian leadership,” his noble heart steered Kuwait’s regional and global philanthropic role, advocating for the dignity of all people globally, but particularly the world’s most vulnerable.

The Kuwait-America Foundation extends our sincere condolences to the family of the Emir and the people of Kuwait, as well as to all those impacted by his generosity of spirit. We also join the world in honoring his extraordinary life and accomplishments.
